Abstracted Landscapes

Every time I began to paint a landscape, I couldn’t seem to behave—to paint them as they appeared to me. So, I just assumed I was a bad landscape artist. What did I know? As it turns out, virtually nothing. But when I went back and looked at those early attempts, I realized I had simply been abstracting the landscapes around me. And what could be wrong with that? Well, nothing, of course. Especially as it was always more fun to me, to stretch the boundaries of reality. I embraced this knowledge, abstracted the landscapes like crazy and now each one is full of life, excitement, colour and energy. And that makes me happy.
