ABSTRACT FLORALS
When I first began painting, I painted florals. Lots of florals. And I loved every moment of it, especially all those precious details. But over the years, my flowers grew looser in style, detail and colour. And I began abstracting the reality of what I saw, relaxing and enjoying it more. I occasionally go back to those luscious details, but mostly I just love throwing colour at the canvas/board and watching as the suggestion of a flower appears before me.
